Yep, that is correct. Last month I flew from Florida to Singapore and waist the air for twenty four hours. Tampa to Denver 3 1/2 hours, Denver to Taipei, Taiwan; 12 1/2 hours and Taipei to Singapore 8 hours. Now that is not counting the time spent on the ground between flights. Let me put it another way. I left on Monday morning and landed in Singapore at 1:25 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Below I am showing the map that runs continuously during the flight depicting where you are, where you have been and how long it will take to destination. Also altitude, temperature and speed. What found humorous was the town of Cold Bay. Now it is Alaska and it is cold…..so how colder can Cold Bay be to be named that? Not wanting to find out in person.
The other picture is the map showing the world and what is in daylight and what is in darkness. We are flying west, of course, but at such a speed that the entire flight will be done in daylight! It took me awhile to wrap my head around this and definitly screwed with my sleep habits.
